R&Cs: Pocket Piano

I became a big DJ Mehdi fan when he was still producing some of the illest records in French hip-hop history. I was just as enthralled with his music when he branched into electro and joined the trailblazing Ed Banger Records. To say he left us too soon is an understand. For their 15th anniversary, Ed Banger teamed up with Orchestre Lamoureux and Thomas Roussel to perform some of their greatest songs, such as Mehdi’s “Pocket Piano”. DJ Mehdi, forever great!!!

Hewa Yasin

I wrote as kid. (I'd die if you'd ever get your hands on those poems.) And I wrote as a teen. (We thought our raps would spearhead revolution.) I write these days to share my joys and perspectives. I am as subjective as they come. I found a bunch of blessed souls that are just as expressive. And Africa is all the better for it. (I think I never really changed.)
