Smoke & Mirrors, October: I

Just last week, I was salivating for the dope music to come as we close out 2018. And they were so many reasons to be hyped. First off, a new Dom Kennedy project, Volume 2, has come out. I’ve been a huge fan; he’s a big part of the soundtrack to my L.A. days; he’s yet to disappoint. Then, there are numerous laudable efforts from vets and up-and-comers alike: Mozzy (Gangland Landlord), Reason (There You Have It), T.I. (Dime Trap) and Warm Brew (New Content) if I have to name a few. Finally, I hope you do yourself a favor — if you haven’t already — and check out Sango‘s In the Comfort of. There’s no way you’d regret it.

If you’re new to this, every week, I try to put together songs that push the envelope, that are dope and that have lots of replay value. Let these joints make your commute smooth and rock you into reflection and meditation. As always, I’ll be back next week.
