R&Cs: Child of the World

Roll and Coasters: Child of the World

You cannot synthesize three powerful messages within a poignant song/video clocking less than five minutes and not get the nod to lead this ‘Roll & Coasters’ playlist. (Also, that’s the least I could do after a previous slight, isn’t it?) Falz, I salute you and your team for shining a bright light to the plights of rape victims, people with HIV/AIDS and sufferers of depression. Elsewhere, Patoranking keeps proving music has no borders effortlessly jumping from Cabo Verde to Georgia. Personally, I can’t wait to see where he lands next. Finally, I’m a big fan of L.A.X and visuals are surely in the works for his latest. But there’s a recent gem that hasn’t gotten enough shine.

At the end of the “Child of the World”, Falz made sure to put forth some of the available support avenues for sexual abuse in Nigeria:
    – The Book Banque,
    – The Cece Yara Foundation,
    – Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Response Team,
    – Media Concern Initiative,
    – The Mirabel Centre, and
    – Women Empowerment and Legal Aid
