R&Cs: The One

Remember the BET Cypher that featured an all-star lineup of Leikeli47, Kash Doll, Rapsody and Tokyo Jetz? Admittedly, I didn’t know anything about the latter but I’ve been a rooting fan ever since. I’m really eager to see her develop and evolve through her career; and I hope she will realize her potential. “The One” is a bold statement as well as a small step in the right direction.

Hewa Yasin

I wrote as kid. (I'd die if you'd ever get your hands on those poems.) And I wrote as a teen. (We thought our raps would spearhead revolution.) I write these days to share my joys and perspectives. I am as subjective as they come. I found a bunch of blessed souls that are just as expressive. And Africa is all the better for it. (I think I never really changed.)
