R&Cs: Living It Up

To further illustrate my point in the last edition, look no further than the leadoff single, Damian Marley’s “Living It Up”. Damian’s new album (2017’s Grammy-award-winning Stony Hill) has been a great source of material for several editions of ‘Smoke & Mirrors‘ and one of those albums we’ve kept into steady rotation as a collective. A good addition to 2018? Jake Miller’s Silver Lining. (And I am glad, he got back on his feet.) New talent? Look no further than tobi lou.

Hewa Yasin
