Shout Out to RudeBoyz!!!

The biggest bug I caught last year is undoubtedly the Gqom fever. The high-energy broken-beat offshoot of Kwaito and the dances it has spawned has completely enchanted me. And I’m not the only one caught under the spell. Today, you’d be hard pressed to find any dance video (especially from Africa) that doesn’t include the gwara gwara.

The DJ/producer duo of Andile-T and Masive Q (what about Menchess?), also known as RudeBoyz, are among the pioneers of Gqom and late last year, they blessed us with a mix that includes some of their more recent work and exclusives. I bet some of the latter will end up on their upcoming Gqom Evolution debut album.
