Being a fan of Harmonize and having converted a few Nigerians to his falsetto, it was a joy to see him collaborate with his fellow soft-voiced rising star from the Mavins stable. It’s only right for love to give the tone to this playlist and for Africans to lead the charge: we’re talking Nigeria, South Africa, Tanzania, Togo and Zimbabwe. Even our fellow contributor, Hopiho, gets in on this with an fdfs written for his wife. (Dude, how do you want us to top that?)
I wrote as kid. (I'd die if you'd ever get your hands on those poems.) And I wrote as a teen. (We thought our raps would spearhead revolution.) I write these days to share my joys and perspectives. I am as subjective as they come. I found a bunch of blessed souls that are just as expressive. And Africa is all the better for it. (I think I never really changed.)
